The Do's & Don'ts of RV Listing Photos

Pro-Tips: Photos

  1. Original photos that you have taken are best on our site. Photos saved from other places do not format correctly and end up very blurry. We also do not allow stock photos or pictures with watermarks on them.
  2. Wide-angle shots work best because it allows renters to see all of your RV. They want to get a sense of the layout and don't care so much about a close-up of the closet.
  3. Include standard photos such as front and rear exterior and all interior rooms.  Be sure to have pictures of sleeping arrangements or any special features. The more photos, the better!
  4. Keep your photos people free. Yes, we know your baby is really cute but renters want to envision themselves in your RV.
  5. Please upload no more than 4-5 photos at a time. You can add more to the listing, but upload them in batches.
  6. JPEG, PNG, JPG files work best. Use images no less than 1500 pixels wide.

RV Listing Pro-Tips

Pro-Tips: Suggested Fees

Rental rates vary widely—often somewhere between $50 to $800 a night.  We recommend looking through our current listing page at other units in your area and ones that are similar to your RV so you can set a fair but competitive price.

When setting your daily rate and security deposit, take into consideration the age, the value, how many people your RV sleeps, and what you're including in the rental. Renters want to make the most of their trip and not be nickel and dimed for every expense. Consider including things like filling propane tanks or lending-out your sway bars, in the rental.

  1. Be honest about the state of your RV. If the TV doesn't work, let renters know.
  2. Be simple in your description but include valuable information. You can show renters how to work the stove when they get there!
  3. Tell renters about how the RV is laid out. Explain the sleeping arrangements and how many people will fit comfortably. Does your RV have some really cool features? Here's where you can show those things off.
  4. In the what’s included section, make sure to list any extras that you’re throwing in for the renter.  These can include kitchen supplies, a generator, camping chairs, or a weight distribution hitch.
  5. In the things to know section, include required information the renter must know to make the trip successful for everyone involved. These can include the weight & height of the RV, how deep the slide is when it's out, or campgrounds in your area. You can also let them know if a certain vehicle is required to tow your RV.
