What are the fees?

There are NO FEES to list your RV on Good Sam RV Rentals or to use the Good Sam Travel app.

OWNERS

  • Good Sam RV Rentals only charges owners a 10% commission fee. This fee is calculated based on the total daily rate and all applicable delivery and add-on fees.
  • Owners may charge additional fees for usage based on miles driven or hours used for items such as generators.
  • Owners can offer items or services to their renters for an additional fee. These are referred to as add-ons and can be things like bikes, grills, cleaning, etc.
  • The commission collected by Good Sam RV Rentals helps us make sure that you, your RV, and the renter stay protected during the rental period while providing you with industry-leading customer support.

When do I get paid?

As a new owner of Good Sam RV Rentals, payouts automatically initiate 24 hours after each rental is complete until you have conducted a minimum of 2 rentals and $1,000 in revenue. Once you have met these requirements, your payouts will be processed 24 hours after the rental start for any future bookings. Good Sam RV Rentals does not hold payouts. Owners are paid after each rental until they meet the abovementioned requirements.

Please note payouts can sometimes take additional time to appear in your bank account depending on your bank's processing schedule, weekends, and holidays.

If you have not received your payout within five days of the rental ending, contact our support team at [email protected]. Before that time, we cannot provide any updates on the processing of your payout.

*Any owner that previously met these criteria before February 2022 will continue to receive their payout 24 hours after the rental starts.

RENTERS

  • Good Sam RV Rentals charges renters a 10% booking fee on every rental. This fee excludes insurance and taxes. The booking fee may be adjusted or discounted with a connected Good Sam Membership.
  • Renters are not charged for a trip until the owner has approved the request.

When is payment due for my booking?

If a rental gets booked within 30 days of the trip's start, 100% of the total is due at checkout. 

If a rental gets booked outside of 30 days of its start, 50% of the total is due at checkout. The other 50% will be automatically deducted 30 days before the rental begins.

The security deposit is not included in the payment for your rental. Security deposits are a hold on your card and are captured two days before the rental begins.

*No money is collected until a request has been accepted by the owner and confirmed.

 

What happens if I cancel a booking? How much is refunded?

Renter Cancellation Policy:

A full refund will be granted, minus the processing fee and applicable taxes if:

  • The booking request is less than seven (7) days before the reservation start date and is canceled by the renter within two (2) hours of booking.
  • The booking request is more than seven (7) days before the reservation start date and is canceled by the renter within 24 hours of booking.

NO REFUNDS are issued if the trip is canceled within 7 days of the scheduled rental unless booked and canceled within 2 hours.

 

If the reservation is canceled more than 30 days before the rental:

  • Insurance is refunded
  • Booking total is refunded
  • Booking and processing fees are not refunded
  • Additional driver fees are not refunded, if applicable 

If the reservation is canceled more than 14 days before the rental:

  • Insurance is refunded
  • 75% of the booking total is refunded
  • Booking total is not refunded
  • Booking and processing fees are not refunded
  • Additional driver fees are not refunded, if applicable 

If the reservation is canceled more than 7 days before the rental:

  • Insurance is refunded
  • 50% of the booking total is refunded
  • Booking total is not refunded
  • Booking and processing fees are not refunded
  • Additional driver fees are not refunded, if applicable

 

Cancellations initiated by the owner will result in a full refund to the renter. 

 

Owner Cancellation Policy:

  • After 2 cancellations by an owner in a rolling 6-month window, all additional cancellations result in a cancellation fee.
    • If the subsequent cancellations occur more than 7 days before the pickup date, $50 is charged to the owner.
    • If the subsequent cancellations occur within 7 days of the pickup date, $100 is charged to the owner.
    • Exceptions can be made for extraordinary circumstances by customer support.
